How I got started on this path

I have always had a great passion and curiosity for technology. This has driven my goal to always learn something new, solve problems and understand how things work!
This is what drove me to study a Master of Engineering program at the University and this is what has and still is motivating me in my professional career.

I have a background in Risk Management and Reliability, skills that help me as a System Engineer in technical decisions and driving the project in the right direction. Making me a key player and subject matter expert in cross-functional teams and decision-making.

One of my greatest achievements was driving the system’s detailed design of an innovative device placed in the home of PD patients. During that time me and my team, the implementation of model-based design drastically increased the development speed of the project and enabled other teams.

Combining my technical interest, in system design with the drive to learn new things has resulted in many patent applications in the medical technology field, published (15) and many are still not yet public.

Experience

Senior Principal System Engineer

Working as the system designer, both from a software, hardware, and control point of view of a new product development project. My experience in both Risk Management and Reliability in combination with my role in the projects make me a subject matter expert in critical cross-functional teams like Risk Analysis, Use Related Risk Analysis (URRA), FMEA and other technical decision meetings.
I work in the whole development process, from exploratory to new product development. This can be seen as I’m one of the inventors, and the person responsible for taking the idea of the concept, setting the initial fluid path, and building the prototype from a hardware and electronic point of view. Later, tasked to define and implement the detailed system design and controls necessary to test and prove the system outcome of the device.

Principal System Engineer

Worked as a system engineer on the detailed design description for a medical device. I was also responsible for the integration between two subsystems and teams spanning across the world. Key tasks consisted of both failure investigation and the first point of contact of the local team in Lund for the Clinical Trials that were performed in the USA.

Worked with a team to develop, implement, and promote what has come to be the new Rapid Prototyping Platform based on Model-Based Design with MathWorks suite of tools. Enable a faster concept generation and more refined exploratory phase in the early development process. This is the platform that has been adapted and now is used in today’s new R&D projects.

Risk Management and Reliability

Worked with Risk Management for both medical devices and electric grid systems for larger projects. Building Fault tree analysis (FTA) of complex systems.
During the reliability assignment, I was responsible for setting up, planning, and performing reliability demonstration tests. The task included building, developing, and programming test fixtures, and automatization the test procedure.

GSS/T Deputy group leader Swedish Armed Forces

Was a deputy group leader in the Swedish armed forces as part of the GSS/T, a part-time contract of employment. As a group leader for a small infantryman unit that was part of the motorized armoured infantry company, the task was to lead people both on the battlefield and utilise quick and strategic decisions in a changing environment, in combination with the more planned activities.
